England Netball stays healthy with California Prunes

California Prunes is continuing its relationship with England Netball by extending its Official Snackfood role to 2010. Supplying sample packs of the quality fruit to teams and spectators nationwide, California Prunes are playing an essential part in ensuring England Netball Teams are eating a healthy balanced diet. California Prunes have a low Glycaemic Index and contain naturally occurring sugars, making them an ideal snack for playing sport.

California Prunes are given to teams and spectators to enjoy at a number of key tournaments nationwide and mascot Prunelope Prune is also on hand to raise awareness of healthy eating, as well as to provide support to the teams.

New Skills Awards

California Prunes has also been proud to sponsor the new edition of the Netball Skills Awards. The scheme has been updated to incorporate the FUNdamentals of movement and the Long Term Athlete Development Model for Netball.

This exciting and progressive award scheme can be used at school or in clubs to motivate players to practice and improve their basic skills and to reward them for their efforts. The awards scheme consists of six levels of achievement illustrated on user friendly cards and posters, assessment recording sheets and a user manual.

The manual contains all the information required to run the Award Scheme, including administration guidelines, tips for setting up and assessing performance, performance criteria and details about other resources and courses that are available from England Netball.
