Prune the Sugar and Fat!

One of the many reasons that California Prunes are so good for you is down to the fact that they contain zero fat and only naturally occurring sugars. For this reason, professional and amateur bakers alike love to include prunes in their culinary creations to replace some of the butter or oil in a recipe and/or some of the sugar. By making up a Prune Puree (blend 80 g prunes with 20 ml water in a blender) you can help reduce the fat and sugar in any recipe –with absolutely no compromise on taste!
